Announcements:

• URGENT - Karen Bauman reminded the club to check their emails for EVITES and RSVP! These are important communications. Please check now for your EVITE for the Holiday Party. RSVPs are due by TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29!!

• President Harry announced that volunteers are needed at Spirit and Truth on Friday, Dec. 2^nd, at 8:45am at the First United Methodist Church at 7th and Landis
• Gail Marino asked that members please donate food items for Vineland Cold Blue. You may drop off at Bay Atlantic Credit Union.                                                         There are a few things that are always needed: Juice (apple, fruit, etc), Hot chocolate, Coffee, Creamer, Eggs, Milk, English Muffins, Bread, Rolls, Breakfast meat: sausage, pork roll, bacon, Cereal, Margarine, Syrup, Hot sauce, Cheese (shredded / sliced), Powder drinks, Cinnamon. If you have any more questions or want to volunteer for Vineland Cold Blue-Please contact Cathy- Vineland Code Blue Coordinator -856-332-1330
• Josie Spinelli: Wreaths and Remembrance Fellowship will be at the Golden Pigeon around 11:30am-12pm.
• Josie also reminded Rotarians that we are a Big Family of People-Reach out to each other-Sunshine goes a long way! 😊 Ed Morvay followed up on Josie's comments asking us to reach out if you know someone in Rotary is not feeling well. Rotary will send a card and reach out to them.
• Andy Brown reminded everyone that: Jay's Year in Review will be on Dec. 6^th at the Holiday Party -- please reply to your EVITE! The Special Needs Children's Party at Rossi is Dec 7^th. Let's all come out and support these awesome Rotary events! And ... don't forget, our last meeting of the year will be on Dec. 20th!

 

 

Joanne Hewes: She wanted to thank Rotary for allowing her to join and is really excited to be a part of such a great organization. She is a Retired Teaching Administrator where she worked in Gloucester Twp Schools. She has 6 adopted children. She loves to travel, so she started a Travel Agency in 2021, where she specializes in luxury travel, Special Needs and Autism Travel also! Her hobbies include quilting, just started learning how to golf, travel, and playing the flute.

 

Keith Bernhardt: Everything starts with family along with a lot of successes. Keith gave background of his family which is very proud of. Keith helps run Tri-City Kitchens alongside his father. He welcomed and thanked his son Matthew for coming today and asked him to stand. Matthew is currently in mortuary school and helping with both family businesses- Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home and Tri-City Kitchens. Tri-City Kitchens was recently featured on HGTV and will also be on Rachel Ray Show soon!  Keith’s hobbies-music-he was classically trained in piano for 20 years and has great love for basketball-playing, coaching, and watching! Being raised in Vineland, he wants to give back to his hometown and Rotary allows him to do so!

 

Diane Alcantara: Diane spoke on Amurtel Products, which were for sale. Amurtel is a global Relief Organization supporting women and children in need. AMURTEL provides relief and long- term support after disasters. Amurtel renders service on many different levels and in many ways, according to the needs of the area. Projects include schools, homes for abandoned children, health services, feeding programs, vocational training, self-help groups, and micro-credit lending cooperatives. Many of the project directors are women who have embraced the yogic lifestyle and have recognized that service is an integral part of their yogic practice.

 

The International Boutique had beautiful products for sale which all proceeds go to Amurtel. Thanks to all of those who purchased or donated to Amurtel!
