Dennis Palmer provided an informative update on the Rotary Foundation, highlighting the incredible impact the organization continues to make around the world. He shared that the Foundation, established in 1917, has grown into a global force with more than $1 billion in assets, supporting humanitarian efforts both locally and internationally.

Dennis spoke about several key initiatives funded through the Foundation, including Rotary’s ongoing mission to eradicate polio, disaster relief efforts, fighting hunger, and supporting communities in need across the globe.

He also announced that the annual Paul Harris Dinner will take place in July, with the official date to be announced soon.

Joe O’Rourke shared highlights from his recent experience attending President-Elect Learning Seminar (PELS) training, where future Rotary leaders focused on strengthening and growing their clubs through meaningful connection and service.

One message that especially resonated with Joe was the idea of making Rotary feel like a home—a place of comfort, protection, belonging, and warmth where people genuinely want to be.

Joe reflected on the devastating tornado that struck Mullica Hill and the incredible response that followed. He spoke about witnessing Rotarians, volunteers, and community members come together selflessly to help those in need. That experience reminded him of four important areas of focus emphasized during the training: engagement, impact, expanding reach, and adaptability.

Joe concluded with a thoughtful analogy, encouraging the club to use tradition and growth as the bookends for Rotary’s future, while keeping those four core principles at the center of everything we do. He shared that balancing Rotary’s strong traditions with continued growth and adaptability will help guide the club forward and strengthen its impact for years to come.
